ADOPT BY TITLE ONLY RESOLUTION NO. CC-2107-071, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING CERTIFICATION BY THE CALIFORNIA COASTAL COMMISSION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE COASTAL LAND USE PLAN IMPLEMENTATION ORDINANCE (TITLE 10, CHAPTER 5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE) CONSISTENT WITH STATE LAW, WHICH IS INTENDED TO BE CARRIED OUT IN A MANNER FULLY IN CONFORMITY WITH THE COASTAL ACT; AND PROVIDING THAT THE AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY'S LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM WILL TAKE EFFECT AUTOMATICALLY UPON COASTAL COMMISSION APPROVAL PURSUANT TO PUBLIC RESOURCES CODE SECTION 30514 AND TITLE 14, SECTION 13551 OF THE CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS.

My business experience includes billion$ in CEQA project. I am completely opposed to VMT as an inferior measure to LOS or Trips from a local environmental impact. VMT is, for the most part, duplicative with GHG analysis and VMT could be translated easily into GHG and criteria pollution and coupled with. Anyway, I know there are no choices, so hold your nose and approve it.
I oppose the changes to the general plan and zoning. There is something wrong when city council members say they oppose over development and then vote for it. Someone always profits off of the residents suffering. North Redondo always gets the short end. The citizens of this city should petition to get a measure on the ballot to block this action.
