AB 1258 will allow for desperately needed judicial review and analysis of the RHNA allocation process. The distribution doesn't appear to be equitable and often unfairly punishes cities that have already greatly increased housing density while rewarding cities that have successfully implemented policies that limit additional housing. We need more opportunities for oversight and review of this process to ensure it's fair and transparent.
