I support our city taking jurisdiction of our portions of Hawthorne Blvd. if that's what is on the table. We need to keep the best interest of our city as the priority which means not allowing neighboring cities to set the ground rules for our future when they clearly indicate they prefer to engage in practices that undermine Redondo Beach private homeowners.

I also support, if the city learns through research that the best interest of its citizens lies in keeping state route 107 designation as is, that decision be made. In other words, whatever works best for our goal in utilizing Hawthorne Blvd. as our alternative for the Metro Green (C) Line, PLEASE MAKE THAT OUR PRIORITY.

I support the city seeking information on the state relinquishment of Hawthorne Blvd. Please include in the study how the relinquishment would effect the building of the Green Line extension on Hawthorne Blvd. Specifically, would the City of Torrance be able to prevent the extension from being built on Hawthorne Blvd. and force it down the BNSF Right of Way.
