Hi, as stated earlier, I fully support our Police and am a graduate of the Police Citizens's Academy. But I am not understanding why an appropriation of $796,000 is necessary for the replacement of vehicles this year. Like, what vehicles are broken or falling apart in police and or public works? It seems like if we needed to cut expenditures, this would be the year to delay replacing city vehicles one more year, or replace a lesser number of them this next fiscal year. These great number of cuts and shifts further highlight how foolish it was for the City not to look closely at the benefits and drawbacks of contracting LACoFD.
