I would like to know the latest thinking on any plans to re-open BCHD’s Center for Health & Fitness (CHF) considering the high percentage of members who are in an especially vulnerable age demographic. In recognition that the exercise activities undertaken in the Center are of a personal, and aerosolized-breathing-inducing nature, I would expect that precautionary measures and/or delays above and beyond what might otherwise be acceptable at commercial gyms may be required. I appreciate that the CHF leadership reacted, in everyone’s best interests, so quickly and appropriately at the beginning of this public health crisis, and that the employees have continued to be professionally committed and creative to serving the continued needs of the membership virtually these many weeks. Finally, I would like confirmation that the CHF employees are still being fully employed and paid as was indicated to the members back in March. We think very highly of the facility, offerings, and the personnel at CHF and look forward to when it is safe, and practical, to return to sharing the space with our fellow health-minded friends.
