This is related to H16. If Redondo gives MMCC any sort of rent break, it should be considered Redondo's in-kind contribution to MMCC operation, not a contribution in addition to the $60k/yr they want from Redondo for operations under H16.

I am a long time resident of Redondo Beach. Funding for Beach Cities Health District’s life saving and life changing services should not be interfered with. The services provided by Beach Cities Health District are important and necessary to the senior citizen community. Prime examples would be when I needed temporary in-home care after being discharged from the hospital they came to the rescue. When I needed transportation to a doctor's appointment they came to the rescue. When I needed permanent in-home care with In-Home Support Services (IHSS) they came to the rescue. Before I knew I needed the LIFELINE service they came to the rescue. I was wearing the emergency LIFELINE wristband when I developed a heart problem. I didn’t panic, have to look for a telephone, waste energy yelling for help hoping someone would hear me, or have an anxiety attack. I just pushed the wrist LIFELINE emergency button and the paramedics were there in less than 5 minutes. To interfere with Beach Cities Health District’s funding would be a disservice to all the citizens of The South Bay.
